Public fountains to help the environment

public drinking water fountainsParknPool, an American company, have joined forces with GlobalTap to ensure that the public have access to fresh drinking water at all times, whilst also promoting reusable bottles and deterring people from purchasing bottled water.

GlobalTap is an eco-friendly organisation whose aim is to ensure access to clean, safe drinking water across the globe, alongside reducing environmentally damaging waste. ParknPool is on board with this message, offering GlobalTap products to their customers as the two organisations link up to fight for the same cause. A shocking statistic suggests that around 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated as they do not get the recommended 8 glasses of water a day. The idea is that by offering easy-to-access public drinking water points, people will be more able to keep themselves hydrated to a healthy level. The GlobalTap fountains will hopefully be installed in everywhere from parks to shopping centres to train centres and the public should quickly see the benefits, both to their health and their wallets, of using public fountains instead of bottled water.

Public drinking water fountains are an excellently practical and cost-effective addition to any public space, and Drinking Water Fountains hopes to see more schemes like this introduced in the UK.
