These products include the Pro-flo range of Bubbler valves and cartridges in addition to a huge range of glass\bottle filling taps. Bubbler valves generally contain a cartridge that periodically fail causing the button to leak. Many people think that all bubbler cartridges are the same. This is not the case. Tomlinson pro-flo cartridges allow trajectory over a wide range of pressures and fit all brands of fountain. The pressure rating on these cartridges is 120 PSI/8BAR.

The Tomlinson range of value-line range of taps are available in 5 styles and 3 finishes offering many options to coordinate any Decor. East Tap has 36 inches of pre installed 1/4″ tubing and a 3″ inlet shank with 7/16″-24 threads.The Lead free Swan neck spout swivels a full 360 degrees. This weekend was Easter and many people enjoyed the drinking water fountains in parks, where they threw big parties. Easter is one of the occasions during the year when families and friends get together and celebrate. Many people chose to organize the get together in a park. This truly is a great idea, because spring is here and being outdoors can be quite pleasant. People with kids especially enjoyed their time, because the kids were running freely, playing in playgrounds and having great fun. However, being outdoors with kids means that things are going to get messy at one point and kids will be thirsty after playing all day. This means that parents must bring a lot of water. But, luckily for some, there were water fountains in some parks. This was an amazing advantage, because kids drop their spoons, their toys in the mud, their hands get dirty. And the fountains really served a good purpose – they kept everybody clean and at the same time, they kept everybody hydrated. After the party the parks were left clean, because there weren’t any plastic water bottles and tissues scattered around them. This was all because of the water fountains.

Everyone benefited from these devices. Parents were grateful and kids had a great time splashing with water and taking turns to drink from the fountains. At the end of the day everyone was happy. Drinking Water Fountains and Find a Rainbow Day

On the 3^rd of April, many people have decided to use the Drinking Water Fountains in a fun game during the Find a Rainbow Day.

Families gathered in parks and played with their kids a lot of fun games, all in the search of rainbows. There were activities like drawing pictures of rainbows, painting with their hands, drawing rainbows on mugs, drawing them with crayons on the asphalt. They sang songs about rainbows and had a great time. But a few of the games were in fact called find-the-rainbow and kids gathered around the water fountains and tried to see the little rainbows that form there whenever the sun hits the running water. This was a spectacular activity indeed and a few lucky ones saw rainbows in the sky that day.

The water fountains though were among the most crowded places in the park and for a good reason. Kids not only used them for their rainbow search, but also had great, fresh water all day long. Parents were delighted that their young ones had enough water to drink, after being exhausted from playing. Water fountains turned out to be great and people really appreciated them. They really make a difference especially if there aren’t any vending machines offering water nearby.

Dubai Taxis get their Own Drink Water Fountains

A new initiative running in the city of Dubai will see taxis getting their own versions of drinking water fountains installed in their back seats, to provide much needed refreshment to passengers travelling in the scorching climate. Following a deal signed just a few weeks ago by the Dubai Taxi Corporation, the Roads and Transport Authority, along with Al Ain Mineral Water, mini water coolers will be installed in 350 cabs which are operating on the stretch between the international airport and the main city, for a three month trial. Depending on the success of this, during which passengers will be charged for any water they consume, along with the cost of the metre bill, at the end of the journey, almost all of the taxi vehicles may have coolers installed in the very near future.
The idea behind the scheme is to generate extra revenue for taxi drivers, as well as making the passenger’s journey just that little bit more comfortable.

Dud Drinking Water Fountains for State Workers

A recent report has revealed that the water being drunk by employees stationed at the Department of Transportation’s Ferries Division building in Seattle, being dispensed through the drinking water fountains, is not in fact suitable for ingestion and has not been for quite some time.
State officials and maintenance crews discovered that at least nine of the twenty-two machines were not installed properly, back when Emerald City Water visited the site in 2005. The units were incorrectly connected to the building’s air conditioning, heating and ventilating systems. Naturally, employees of the company had various things to say about the findings, commenting that they felt “Let down”, and that the findings were “Awful…a complete violation of trust”. An expert toxicologist will be on hand for concerned workers, to answer their questions about the chlorine-smelling water that they had been drinking. As for the people up high, Washington State Ferries‘ deputy chief of finance and administration, Jean Baker, has said that the company will be fighting for compensation from those responsible for the shoddy job of connecting the drinking stations.

In honour of this, dear readers, we’re giving you a (very) condensed history of drinking water fountains in this week’s blog, just to give everyone a hand at realising just how far we’ve come in this field…we hope you enjoy.

-Fountains were originally designed to be purely for functional; for bathing and drinking water. It was the Romans that initiated pretty designs and water features for decorative purposes.

-The peaks of the career of the decorative drinking water fountain were during the Italian Renaissance, Moorish Spain, and the designs that could be seen in the Gardens of Versailles in the Seventeenth Century.

-Something that makes today’s fountains so fantastic is the fact that they can come in so many different shapes and sizes; that they can be overflowing basins, sheets of water flowing over concrete or stone, or even a delicate spurt from an ornamental figure. There really is something to suit all tastes, just like our own range.

Let’s face it, music really does help make the world go round. It makes things seem just that little bit more interesting, brings us up when we’re feeling down, and can give us an excuse to jump around like loons, should we so wish. In light of thing, dear readers, this week, here at drinking water fountains, we’re sharing our ultimate soundtrack with you- songs that go perfectly with the moment you sit down with a delicious, cool glass of water, Ahhh.

Waterfalls (TLC)- Hopefully waterfalls will not be coming from any of our drinking water fountains (as they are serviced by our engineers pronto, should anything go awry), however we like that it’s about our fave liquid.

Drink With Me (From Les Misérables)- Everyone loves a musical (apart from Jonny in the office, he prefers Iron Maiden), and this song, if sung by the person at the fountain, is a perfect invite for others to join them in a therapeutic and refreshing activity.

You’re Not Drinking Enough (Don Henley)- even though we’re not quite sure that this song was originally about indulging in a little watery beverage, it may ring true to many who are not getting their recommended eight glasses (of water) a day. Might be time for one of our drinking water fountains.
